Dr Saima Niaz is a Consultant
Psychiatrist working in the NHS. She is a Fellow of
Pakistan Physician and Surgeons (F.C.P.S) and has
Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training UK in
General Adult Psychiatry. Formerly worked as Assistant
Professor of Psychiatry in Fatima Jinnah Medical College
Lahore, Pakistan. She studied Fundamentals of Cognitive
Behaviour Therapy from the University of Cumbria, UK.
She has extensive clinical experience in General Adult
Psychiatry, Liaison Psychiatry, Psychiatry of Learning
Disabilities and Forensic Psychiatry, Perinatal
Psychiatry, as well as teaching and research experience.
She has numerous research articles published in peer
reviewed journals including collaborations with Harvard
Medical School, USA. She has chapter contribution titled
“Therapeutic communities for psychosis: philosophy,
history and clinical practice” towards a book published

and dedicatedly carried on her clinical work and
simultaneously her voluntary work in mental health
